ROKA LONDON X SMA UK

Colour, Community, and Care – Together

At ROKA London, we’ve always believed that our bags are more than just bags, they’re part of everyday journeys, family moments and the lives of people who matter most.

Being a family-run business with three young children ourselves, we know first-hand how important it is to support not just individuals but their families too.

That’s why this collaboration with SMA UK (Spinal Muscular Atrophy UK) is so close to our hearts. One of our much-loved team members, Amy, is mum to a wonderful little boy, Ollie, living with SMA Type 1.

Seeing her family’s courage, strength and love inspires us every single day and it’s why we are committed to doing our part to raise awareness and support the life-changing work of SMA UK.

WHY SMA UK?

SMA UK is the national charity supporting and advocating for children, adults and families affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

They provide vital information, emotional support, research funding and community connections for families navigating life with SMA.

The synergy between ROKA London and SMA UK is clear:

Family First

Both of us place family and people at the centre of everything we do.

Strength in Community

Whether through colour, design, or care, we believe in building communities where no one feels alone.

Making Everyday Life Better

Our bags are designed for everyone, everywhere, every day. SMA UK works to ensure families affected by SMA can live fully, every day, with the right support.

Together, we’re carrying more than just essentials, we’re carrying hope, awareness, and a brighter future.

Why This Matters to Us

ROKA London is built on family values. We started this business with a vision of creating functional, sustainable bags that bring joy through colour and simplicity. But as our team and community have grown, so has our purpose.

Supporting Amy and Ollie has reminded us of something we’ve always known: business isn’t just about products, it’s about people. It’s about standing beside our colleagues, customers and community in good times and in challenging ones.

It’s about showing that every business, big or small, has the power to create impact.

As a family with three young children, we also know that what SMA UK is fighting for – research, treatment access, family support – is something every parent can connect with.

Because when you support a child with SMA, you don’t just change their life – you change the lives of their brothers, sisters, parents and whole communities.
