UK Next Day Delivery

We use DPD Next Day Delivery for next-day deliveries. Orders must be placed Monday to Thursday before 2pm to receive your parcel the next working day with deliveries Monday to Friday only. 

Next-day delivery isn’t available to the Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and remote parts of Scotland. It also isn't available on Bank Holidays, any orders received over a UK Bank Holiday weekend will arrive the next Wednesday.

ROKA London was founded by Brett and Emma Katz.

We were born from the unexpected, much like a good adventure. In 2014, Emma and Brett's paths crossed whilst Emma was abroad with her family, sparking a romance that would soon span across oceans. Before long, Brett found himself trading sun-soaked days for the unpredictable charm of London’s weather, all in the name of love.

One particularly sunny day, Brett set off to explore London’s Oxford Street, dressed in jeans, a t-shirt, and with his trusty old backpack slung over his shoulder. But, in true British style, the skies had other plans. What began as a bright, hopeful day quickly turned into a classic British downpour. By the time Brett made it home, he was soaked through, and so was everything in his bag.

But that rain-soaked moment sparked something bigger than just the need for a dry change of clothes. With over 20 years in fashion and retail, Brett saw an opportunity to create something new.

What if there was a bag that could take on whatever the weather threw at it, whilst still looking bold and being up for anything?

And just like that, ROKA London was born in 2016. By 2017, it was up and running, crafting bags that blend style, function, and a bit of weather-ready resilience. The name? It’s a nod to the values that Emma and Brett hold close: trust, integrity, and a positive outlook on life. By blending their surnames, ROsenberg and KAtz, ROKA London came to life.

After many months he finally had it, the first bag, the Bantry backpack.

The Bantry has gone on to be sold all over the world, in thousands of stores from USA to Sweden, and new products and styles have also been released using the original design system that Brett created. Oh, and Emma and Brett got married too!

In 2020, ROKA London took a leap across the pond, bringing its bags to the US under the name ORI London, inspired by Emma and Brett’s first child. ORI London carries the same spirit, values, and quality that make ROKA London what it is today.

RECYCLED OUTER MATERIAL

ROKA London bags are designed to be lightweight and durable, our external recycled material is triple-coated and weather-resistant. Recycled Nylon is shiny and smooth and Recycled Canvas is matte and textured.

BASE MATERIAL & STRAPS

We’ve added a padded weather-resistant canvas to the bottom of each bag giving it extra protection from the ground and even more support

The adjustable cotton-webbing straps are designed to form to the body and provide maximum comfort. The backpacks also have an additional carrying option with the two wide-loop handles.

STORAGE

Every ROKA London backpack and bag is designed for maximum storage capacity. Inside each you’ll find a padded laptop or tablet sleeve in addition to external and internal pockets and storage compartments.

SECURITY

Many of our bags have a secret zip pocket, perfect for personal items like your wallet or phone. Some bags have it tucked inside for extra protection, some bags have it tucked along the back panel for easy access.

Our product design principles:

Recycle: ROKA London canvas bags are made from recycled plastic bottles. We use recycled polyethylene terephthalate (RPET) for our canvas-like material to give new life to a plastic that would otherwise end up in a landfill or worse, our oceans.

Our canvas material has a matte look and textured feel.

Repurpose: Our nylon bags are made using pre-consumer fabric waste such as scraps, rejects, offcuts and trimmings. We take this waste that would otherwise be thrown out and spin it into new material. Recycling this waste creates a durable nylon and is a great way to reduce waste. Our nylon material has a shiny look and smooth feel.

Materials: Both nylon and canvas materials are water-resistant and coated with C0 water-repellent. No PFOS or PFOA are used in the process and the coating is compliant with EU Laws. OEKO-TEX® 100 certification ensures our recycled range meets the highest safety and ecological standards.

All ROKA London products will arrive to you in cornstarch-based, biodegradable packaging and outer paper packaging using FSC approved suppliers.

B-Corporation: ROKA London is a certified B Corp. This means that we are committed to being more than just a business that makes a profit. We are dedicated to making a positive impact on people and our planet.

Carbon Zero & Waste Reduction: Our business goal is to be Carbon Zero within five years. To do this we will have to utilise carbon offsetting. Since we committed to this goal over 200,000 trees have been planted through our order contrbutions. Every day, over 100 million plastic bottles are used worldwide, and 80% never get recycled and end up in our landfills, or worse, the ocean. With an ever-growing population and the rise of fast fashion and throw-away culture, there’s been a drive to rethink how we consume products. We have recently partnered with Plastic Bank via Switch2Zero. Every order placed funds the collection of plastic waste from coastal communities, stopping it from ever reaching the sea.

We have also partnered with Pre-Loved for customers to sell and recycle their used ROKA London bags and backpacks.

To get this accreditation we had to meet rigorous social and environmental standards which represent its commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit. 

The B Corp certification addresses a business’s operations and covers five key impact areas of Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. To bring these designs to life, we partner with specialised factories in China. We have worked with the same teams since we started, building deep-rooted relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

As a family-run business, we believe in making a positive impact on the people who make our products. We ensure all factory employees work in clean, safe, and nurturing environments and are paid a fair wage. To maintain these high standards, our factories undergo rigorous annual audits with full, transparent reporting.

Sustainability is one of our core pillars. We choose to manufacture in China because it is the global hub for the highest-quality recycled materials, specifically rPET. By sourcing and manufacturing in the same region, we can better manage the manufacturing and shipping impact on the planet.  

Material Impact: Each of our recycled Canvas bags is made form rPET material, made from approximately 12 to 15 plastic bottles.  Our recycled Nylon bags are made from repurposed material.

Giving Back: We are proud to be B Corp Certified. We further reduce our footprint by partnering with charitable organizations to plant trees and remove plastic from the oceans.

We are committed to the highest standards for animal welfare and environmental protection. We aim to source all our virgin cashmere from farms certified to the Good Cashmere Standard (GCS). For example, in 2022, 99% of our virgin cashmere came from GCS-certified farms.

The GCS ensures high standards for animal welfare, environmental protection, and fair herder treatment, meaning you can purchase your new accessories with confidence and care.

No, we do not use toxic dyes. We care about the materials we use and ensure they are safe for everyone.

• Safety First: Our supplier is granted the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification, which means every item has passed safety tests for harmful substances.
• Global Standards: This certification covers strict requirements like the REACH directive and the ECHA-SVHC candidate list.
• PFAs Update: We don't use any type of PFAs in our bags. The only product we currently sell that contains PFAs is our umbrellas, as they use Teflon for weatherproofing.

🎒 Bags, Backpacks & Accessories

Material: Bio-based PBAT and PLA (derived from cornstarch). Our main product packaging is fully biodegradable. It is designed to return to nature without leaving permanent traces.

• Where to dispose: Your General Waste bin.
• The Science: Unlike standard plastic, this material is engineered to break down naturally in a landfill environment. Within roughly 180 days, bacteria in the waste field will begin breaking it down.
• ⚠️ Important: Please do not put this in your home recycling bin or supermarket soft-plastic bins. It is a "bio-plastic," and mixing it with traditional plastic can ruin the recycling process for everyone!

🧦 ROKA London Socks

Material: 100% recycled post-consumer polyethylene. Because this is a traditional recycled plastic rather than a bio-plastic, it requires a different path.

• Where to dispose: Supermarket Collection Points. Take these to the soft-plastic drop-off bins at major retailers (Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, etc.).
• Preparation: Keep it clean and dry. It will be melted down and transformed into new items like street furniture or new packaging.
• ⚠️ Important: Do not put this in your home recycling bin, as it can jam local sorting machines.

Yes, all ROKA London bags are weather resistant and durable. All your belongings are safe and sound from wind, rain, or sun.

Absolutely. All ROKA London bags come with a limited 1-year warranty. If your product fails per the limited warranty, we'll work with you to make it right. The warranty covers all of our bag products. This does not extend to our smaller accessories, such as wallets and pouches.

Yes, all ROKA London bags are weather resistant and durable. All your belongings are safe and sound from wind, rain, or sun.

ROKA London bags are made with water resistant and waterproof materials, which make them super easy to clean. The best way to clean your ROKA London bag is to spot clean with a damp cloth, then let it air dry. We do not recommend fully submerging your ROKA London bag in water, however we have seen it floating at a beach party one time ;)

While both materials are durable, water-resistant, and sustainably sourced, they differ in their origin and finish:

Recycled Canvas

• The Source: Made from recycled plastic bottles (RPET). Using RPET gives new life to plastic that would otherwise end up in a landfill or our oceans.
• The Look & Feel: It has a classic, matte, textured "canvas-like" feel. It is sturdy and has a traditional fabric appearance.

Recycled Nylon

• The Source: Made from pre-consumer fabric waste, such as scraps and offcuts that would otherwise be thrown out and are instead spun into new material.
• The Look & Feel: It has a sleek, smooth feel with a slightly shiny finish. It is soft to the touch and offers a more contemporary look.

What they have in common: Both materials are treated with a C0 water-repellent coating to keep your belongings dry. This coating is eco-friendly, compliant with EU Laws, and completely free of harmful chemicals like PFOS or PFOA.

Engineered for maximum utility, it’s our largest backpack and is designed to support you through everything, from a heavy commute to a full weekend away. It features a wide-mouth opening so you can pack in more than you’d expect, and it's built to last.

The Details:

• Size: 46cm x 38cm x 15cm.
• Capacity: 26 litres—our most generous size for those who need to carry it all.

Our bags are designed to be weather-resistant, but they are not fully waterproof.

The Details:

• Weather-Ready: Our external recycled material is triple-coated and weather-resistant.
• What to Expect: This means our bags can comfortably cope with a few showers, but they aren't designed for prolonged exposure to heavy rain.
• Built to Last: While they are engineered to handle what the classic British weather throws at them, we recommend avoiding a total soak to keep your belongings at their best.

Yes, the zip pulls on our bags are made from 100% PVC and the leather look ones are Vegan-friendly

While our umbrellas are super effective at keeping you dry because of their Teflon coating, this does mean they're not currently PFAS-free.  

We know this is important, and we're on the case, actively exploring alternatives like ECo Lite to make them as planet-friendly as possible. We believe in providing quality and accessible products and are working to strike the balance.
